Bali is one of the most famous surf destinations, and if you'd like to give it a try, Nusa Dua is a good spot for a first lesson.

01Nusa Dua has gentler waves, which are also suitable for beginners.
02Lessons typically include a board, the necessary equipment and an instructor. It's a good idea to book a day or two ahead, especially if you'd like a specific time.
03For food by the sea, you could try Le Bleu by K Club (French-Japanese), Tamarind (Mediterranean), Nampu (Japanese) or Ikan (Indonesian).
04Peninsula Island is right next door, where you can see the Krishna and Arjuna Statue, so it's easy to combine both on the same walk.
