A few days in Bali,
with the people closest to us
We would love these days to be more than just our wedding. We hope this will also be a chance for us all to spend time together, surrounded by our family and friends, in a place that is very special to us and that we have wanted to share with you.
We hope to have beautiful and adventurous days together, to explore Bali and create memories that we will cherish for years to come. Most of all, we are so happy that the people closest to us, from different countries, languages and traditions, will all come together, get to know one another and become part of a shared story that brings together all the different worlds that have brought us here.

01Before you travel＋
Electronic Visa on Arrival (eVOA)
The Visa on Arrival can be arranged online before travelling rather than at the airport. The cost is IDR 500,000, approximately £21 per person. Apply through the official Indonesian Immigration website: evisa.imigrasi.go.id.

International visitors to Bali are required to pay the Bali Tourist Levy of IDR 150,000, approximately £6 per person. It can be paid online before travelling through the official Love Bali website: lovebali.baliprov.go.id.

All international passengers must complete the All Indonesia arrival declaration before entering Indonesia. It is free of charge and can be completed online from three days before arrival: allindonesia.imigrasi.go.id.

We recommend using the Airalo app for an eSIM instead of getting a physical SIM card. You can buy and install a local data plan on your phone before travelling and connect once you arrive in Bali. Indonesia packages currently start from around £3.50, with the price depending on the amount of data and length of your stay.
Cash
It is also useful to have a small amount of cash with you, particularly for tips and very small expenses.
02Being Considerate＋
Bali has a rich culture and strong religious traditions, so please be respectful when visiting temples and sacred places. You may be asked to wear a sarong, which is often available at the entrance. You will also see small offerings placed on the ground throughout Bali, so please take care not to step on or disturb them.
03Airport arrival＋
Pre-book an airport transfer or driver to your first hotel. SeekSophie is a platform we trust in general, though there are plenty of other platforms and agencies you can use too.
04Our organised transport＋
Our arranged transport includes transfers to the wedding after party, transport to and from the private cruise, and transfers to the nightclub for anyone joining. Details to follow.
05Independent travel＋
A private driver is best for day itineraries. Grab and Gojek can be useful for shorter trips, subject to local pick-up rules.
You can find private driver information, including contact details and rates, on the SeekSophie Bali transport page. There are also plenty of other options available online.
In our experience, private drivers in Bali are very friendly and flexible and are usually happy to organise a personalised itinerary based on where you would like to go, the number of people travelling, the type of car you need and what best suits your plans.
We also have our own lovely driver in Bali, whom we know and trust from our previous visit, and he may be able to recommend some of his colleagues if needed.
06Allow for traffic＋
Travel times can change considerably. Leave generous buffers, especially between Bali areas and before time-sensitive events.
07Useful apps for bookings＋

Klook is a useful alternative to SeekSophie for booking activities, transport and more around Bali, and also has a mobile app.
